The males are fairly well attracted to a variety of different pheromone compositions originally developed for Cydia nigricana and Phyllonorycter blancardella, the last one seems to be more effective.

Genitalia


Flight periods

The adults fly in two generations a year during April/May and July/August.


Observed on

Host plant (species):
Malus sylvestris, Malus domestica, Prunus avium, Prunus domestica, Prunus persica and Sorbus torminalis
Host plant (genera):
Pyrus, Malus, Cydonia and Prunus

This species feeds on different plants belonging to the Rosaceae, but more observed on Malus sp. and on Pyrus sp.
