Bionomics

The larvae feed in folded or spun leaves. Larvae of the summer brood are much more common than those of the spring generation. The adults hibernate.
Adults fly at night and are attracted to light.

The moths fly in two generations, in June and July, and from September, overwintering and reappearing in the spring till May.
