Wingspan 7–10 mm. A distinct, very small species with a buff forewing base and broad white fascia.

Bionomics

The larvae feed between spun leaves and later pupate there in a black pupa.
Adult moths fly both during the day and at night and come to light.

A southern species that is usually observed with influxes and can be observed almost all year round. The Belgian specimen was seen in June.
