Wingspan 18–21 mm. An unmistakable species. Head and middle body white. Antennae are just over half the length of the forewing. Forewings greyish white, greenish marbled with an elongated tip. In the middle of the back edge, a triangular black and brown spot is sometimes divided into smaller spots, and some of the scales are raised. Hindwings grey.

Bionomics

The larvae live in a spare spinning on the leaves. Pupation in a yellowish cocoon under a leaf. The adults hibernate.
