Mine

The mine starts at the base on the underside of a leaf as a short gallery, gradually widening. The leaf is slightly inflated. The frass is concentrated in the lowest one-third of the mine.

Bionomics

The egg is deposted at the base of a leaf.
The adults have been observed flying low over the vegetation in late afternoon.

Probably two generations a year: from late April till June and from mid-July till early August.
