A very rare but widespread species in Belgium.

The caterpillar is greenish grey-white with black warts, the head is light brown, the neck shield is the same color as the body with a transverse row of four dark dots that flow together in pairs, the anal shield is narrow and brownish.
The larva lives in a spun leaf or between two leaves spun together on the host plant. It overwinters in its cocoon from the end of August and pupates in a cocoon spun amongst leaf-litter in April.They are active during sunshine and frequently come to light and are also attracted to the pheromone of Cydia fagiglandana.
The adults fly onwards from mid-April towards mid-July.
The larva lives on Lathyrus sylvestris, Lathyrus pannonicus, Lathyrus latifolius and Lathyrus palustris.
It inhabits open places in forest, forest roads, flowery fields and pastures, roadsides and wasteland.
