Yellowish white body with a brownish dorsal and subdorsal length lines.

Bionomics

The larvae feed initially under the bark, but soon penetrating the pith of the stems up to the rhizome. Pupation in the roots or outside in a flimsy white cocoon.
They rest among the foliage during the day, and later come to light.
