A very rare species in Belgium.
Native
Wingspan 20–24 mm.
The larvae live in the flower heads and later pupate in a cocoon on the ground.The adults come sparsely to light.
The adults have been seen from early May towards mid-June.
The larva lives on Picris and Crepis.
It inhabits open fields, uncultivated ground, wasteland and herb-rich grasslands.
