A local and very rare species in Belgium.
Native
The adults can be seen in the morning sitting on the leaves on the host plant, when disturbed, it immediately falls to the ground. Later they come to light.
The adults fly from early May till mid-July.
The larva lives mainly on Tilia. Other plants recorded are Acer campestre, Carpinus, Betula, Corylus, Fagus and Salix.
It occurs in mixed forests.
