A very rare and local species in Belgium.
Native
Early stages are insufficiently known and rather poorly described, but it's known to feed on lichens growing on tree trunks. The larva lives under moss and is difficult to find.
The adults come to light and to sugar.
The adults have been seen from early May towards mid-September, with most observations during June/July.
The larvae feed on lichens on wood like Parmotrema perlatum.
It inhabits forests and wood margins.
