Genitalia


Caterpillar

The larva is similar to that of Caryocolum huebneri.


Bionomics

The larva makes a long and broad gallery along the mid-rib towards the tip of the leaf, continuing to the margins, with frass in broad lines deposited. After overwintering the mature larvae live between two leaves which are spun together along the margins.
The adults come to light.

The adults fly from late June towards late August.
