This very rare species has not been seen in Belgium for a long time and is thought to be extinct.

Wingspan 10–12 mm.
The larva feeds between shoots on the host plant.
The adults become active around dusk and later come to light.
The adults are on the wing during August.
The larva feeds on Stellaria holostea.
It inhabits open forests.
