Genitalia


Bionomics

The larva creates a long and transparant gallery very close to the midrib on the host plant, later it feeds among spun shoots and when becoming mature it eates the unripe seeds. Pupation on the ground.
The adults become active from late afternoon onwards and later comes to light.
