Cocoon/pupa

A whitish cocoon attached to leaves of the food plant.


Bionomics

The caterpillar makes mines in the needles or leaves of the food plant during the winter; later on, it leaves the mine to pupate in a cocoon attached to the plant or on the ground. The adults come to light.

The adults have been seen from late April till mid-June.
