A very rare species in Belgium, almost exclusively observed in the Kempen.
Native
The larva feeds in a loose silken web and it hibernates in a tough cocoon. The adults become active from dusk onwards and later come to light.
The adults fly in one generation a year and have been observed from late May toward end of August, occasionally later.
