Mine

Very short, full-depth corridor, without frass, along the midrib. The corridor continues in a tube of silk, covered with frass, the larva then causes window feeding.

Bionomics

The larve cuts a thick vein, which causes the leaf to form a funnel, in which the larva lives. The adults hibernate.
Adults come to light.

Flight periods

The adults fly in two generations a year from June till October, whereupon they hibernate and reappear the following spring.
