Imago

Wingspan 10–14 mm. The upperwing is marked with metallic blue-grey striations, edged with rufous, and the two black dots are in fact small raised tufts of black scales.

Bionomics

The larva feeds on leaves and shoots on the food plant. Hibernation in egg or early larval stage.
The adults fly from late afternoon and later come to light.
