A rather rare species in the southern part of Belgium.
Native
The adults are active during the daytime and can be observed in flowerheads, sometimes in numbers. This has probably led to the assumption that these plants are food plants of the caterpillar.
One generation a year from late May till the end of June.
The larva probably lives on mosses, e.g. Tortula muralis. Earlier records of food plants like Helianthemum, Hypericum, and Sedum need confirmation.
