This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
The species overwinters as a larva, almost fully grown and pupates in an underground cocoon.
The adults come to light and sugar.
The adults fly in one generation a year from late May till early August.
The larva lives on a variety of herbaceous plants like Rumex, Galium, Plantago, Vicia, Polygonum bistorta, or Fragaria.
