Bionomics

The larva lives under light webs along the twigs on the host plant. Hibernates as a larva.
Adults become active in evening and later come occasionally to light.

The adults fly in May and June.

Host plant (genera):
Calluna and Empetrum

The larva lives on Empetrum and Calluna. In older literature is Erica as an other host plant mentioned. Abroad in the Alps also on Dryas octopetala and Salix serpylifolia.
