Imago

Wingspan 10–14 mm. It has a dark brown quite plain appearance, with a series of prominent creamy-coloured strigulae along the costa, interspersed with occasional bluish-metallic streaks and whitish or pale ochre labial palps and face.

Bionomics

Little is known about the biology, but the larvae probably bore in the young shoots and fruits on the host plant.
They are active in early morning and again in the afternoon. They come to light.

The adults have been seen from early May towards mid-July.
