A very rare but widespread species throughout Belgium.
Native
Little is known about the biology, but the larvae probably bore in the young shoots and fruits on the host plant.
They are active in early morning and again in the afternoon. They come to light.
The adults have been seen from early May towards mid-July.
The food plants of the caterpillar is still unknown. The literature lists the following possible food plants Prunus domestica, Prunus sp., Quercus and Crataegus.
It occurs in suitable localities where the food plant occurs like open woodland and hedgerows.
