A not-so-common and local species in Belgium, mainly known from the Kempen and the south of the country.
This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
Hibernates as larva and pupates among plant debris.
They are active from dusk and later come to light.
The adults fly in one generation a year, onwards from early June till early August.
Often a partial second generation occurs till late September.
Prefers sandy soils.
