A very rare and local species in Belgium, mainly observed in the Kempen.
This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
The adults fly in different generations a year from March towards October.
The polyphagous larva lives on dried vegetable matter like: dry plants, mouldy plant debris, moss and petals of various herbaceous plants like: Galium, Chrysanthemum or Gypsophila.
Usually found in houses, gardens, parks and around compost mounds.
