A new species in Belgium in 2025.
Native
Adults are very shy and can be found resting on tree trunks and rocks during the day. They are active at sunset and come occasionally to light.
Adults are on the wing from early June to mid-July.
Little is known about the host plants, but it is generally assumed that their lifestyle is similar to their sister species, Aplota palpellus, which feeds on mosses and lichens.
It inhabits forest edges, orchards, open sunny areas, and south-facing slopes.
