Bionomics

The larvae live and feed in spring in rosettes and leaf buds, and summer generations mainly in flower heads.

Observed on

The oligophagous larvae feed on Compositae like Hieracium and Hypochaeris radicata. Abroad, it feeds on Andryala species.
