A very rare species. Hitherto only found in NA.
Native
The egg of this species is always close to the midrib on the underside of the leaf.
The mine begins as a straight corridor, usually temporarily following a vein. The mine gradually widens, and the black frass remains in a central line from start to finish.
Adults can be seen during May and June.
The larva mines Sorbus torminalis.
