Flight periods
The adults are on the wing from late May towards July. The first Belgian observation was on September 9, this individual was more than likely part of a second partial generation.
Observed on
The larva feeds on different species of Salix, like Salix aurita, Salix caprea, Salix phylicifolia and Salix repens.

Habitat
The species occurs in submontane dry heath, upland peatland, raised bogs and transitional and trembling peatland where Salix is well represented.
