Invasive

The area of origin of this species is not yet known with certainty, first observed in North America in 1959, mainly in the west. First seen in Poland in 1961.

Imago

For a correct identification by sight, the ground color of the the hindwings is decisive. These are whitish with a little silver to even bluish reflections.
Flew-off individuals are best identified by genitalia.
