The larvae are found especially on flowers and fruits of their host plant between late July and September. The moths fly during daytime.
The moths are usually on the wing between late June and mid-August.
The larvae feed on Chondrilla juncea, according to literature occasionally also on related Asteraceae.
It inhabits dry and warm places with the host plants such as steppes, sandy grasslands, fallow land, dry slopes etc...
