A new species in Belgium in 2020.
Native
The egg of this species is mainly laid on the upper side of the leaf.
The larva is yellow-colored and can be found in the months of July and August and again in the winter months until the beginning of spring.
The mine of this species is a wide corridor that usually lies on the leaf edge. The frass line is wide but does not completely fill the corridor. The caterpillar leaves the mine by making a crescent-shaped cut in the upper part of the last part of the corridor.
The caterpillar pupates in a white to pale brown cocoon.
The moths fly from May to September.
The larva mines Quercus ilex.
