A very rare and local species in Belgium.
Native
Greenish white body with light yellowish brown head, sides darker, prothoracic plate brown, anal plate brown and darker punctuated.
The larva lives between spun leaves or in the seed pods on the host plant. They hibernate fully fed in a cocoon on the ground where they pupate.
The moths fly low over the foodplants in sunshine and have conspicuously white hindwings. The adults come to light.
The adults of this springtime species have been seen from mid-April towards early June.
The larva lives on Lathyrus linifolius, Lathyrus niger, Lathyrus tuberosus , Lathyrus pratensis and Vicia sepium.
It inhabits woodland edges, downland, roadside verges and scrub.
