This species has not been seen in Belgium for a long time and is thought to be extinct.

Wingspan 13–15 mm.
Larva undescribed.
The larvae lives below the ground surface in a silken gallery where it mines the leaves from the underside. It prefers sandy places as the larvae make sandy tubes on the ground.
The adults become active during late evening but can rather easily befound in the daytime too, especially in cloudy weather. The adults come to light.
The adults are on the wing from June towards August.
The larvae feed on Antennaria dioica.
It inhabits sparse, sandy ground with low vegetation.
