Bionomics

The larva lives in the flowers and flower buds on the host plant but it also eates the leaves when the flowers have withered.
The adults become active from sunset onwards and later come to light.

The adults fly from late June towards August.

The larva feeds mainly on Prunus spinosa, also found on Prunus domestica and on Prunus cerasifera.
