This species has not been seen in Belgium for quite some time, rediscovered again in 2024.

Wingspan 18–20 mm.
The larva lives in terminal shoots spun together on the host plant.
The adults come to light.
The adults are the wing from late June towards late September.
The larva lives monophagously on Hippophae rhamnoides.
It prefers scrub with the host plant and coastal areas where the host plant is common.
