Bionomics

The larva lives in a slight web on the underside of a leaf.
Pupation in a white cocoon spun amongst detritus. The species hibernates in the pupal stage.
The moths like to rest on their food plants during the day. They come to light.

Flight periods

One generation a year from early May till mid-September. Autumn specimens might belong to a partial second generation.

Symphytum officinale, Pulmonaria officinalis, Symphytum tuberosum, Lithospermum officinale and Myosotis sylvatica

Some species of Boraginaceae like Symphytum officinale and Pulmonaria officinalis are mostly taken.
