Imago

Wingspan 14–20 mm. A brown species with darker brown markings showing a triangular mark centrally pointing to the dorsum that has an angle of 90 degrees or slightly less.

Bionomics

The larvae feed in the stems and rootstock on the host plant. The larvae hibernate and pupate in a cocoon in or around the larval habitation.
The adults come to light.
