A fairly common species throughout Belgium.
This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
Hibernates as young larva and pupates in a cocoon in a bark crevice. The adults come to light and sugar.
The adults fly from mid-June to August in one generation a year.
