A very rare and local species in Belgium, not seen for a very long time. Presumably extinct.

Wingspan 11–14 mm. Most of the species in this genus should be checked for genitalia, especially when worn.
The larva lives and feed in the upper part of the rootstock under the bark in a web. It hibernates and pupates in the larval habitation. The adults come to light.
The adults can be seen from May onwards till July.
The larva feed on Anthemis tinctoria.
It inhabits waste ground, herb-rich pastures and flowery grasslands.
