A very rare and local species in Belgium.
Native
Wingspan 13–16 mm. A small species with dark brown forewings with yellowish brown powdering. A whitish dorsal blotch and black dots along the outer edge.
Most of the species in this genus should be checked for genitalia, especially when worn.
The larva bores and feeds in the roots. Pupation in a soil cocoon.
Later they come sparsely to light.
The adults fly from mid-May till July.
The larva feeds on Achillea millefolium. Records from Leucanthemum vulgare and Tanacetum vulgare are insecure, because of Dichrorampha identification problems by authors in the past.
It inhabits a wide range of habitats like herb-rich roadsides, flowery pastures, rough ground etc...
