A fairly common species throughout Belgium.
This species is considered Near Threatened according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
Hibernates as a full-grown larva and pupates in a cocoon.
The moths are active from dusk onwards and later come to light.
The adults fly in two, sometimes three generations a year from mid-April till October.
