Wingspan: 6–8 mm.
A very small species with brown-grey narrow forewings.
The antennae are alternately ringed brown white till the tip.

Case

This species makes a very small light brown case of about 4 mm.
The mouth angle is 40°.
The case is composed of 8–10 small leaf fragments, placed in a herringbone manner (see foto).

Bionomics

Caterpillars live from the autumn till May. Fully grown larvae are to be found from March till May.
The adult is day-active and rather hard to find due to its small size.
