First observation for Belgium in 1997 in LX. Hitherto a very rare and local species in Belgium.
Native
The larva lives in spun tubes covered with sand among mosses.
The adults become active in late afternoon and come later to light.
The adults have been observed from mid-July towards late August.
The larva feeds presumably on mosses like Brachythecium albicans.
It inhabits dry sandy places like sand dunes, heaths, but also in woods, parks and gardens.
