The adults become active onwards from late afternoon and later come to light.

The adults have been seen from early June towards late August. Most observations during July.

Host plant (species):
Artemisia campestris

The larva lives on Rumex, Rumex acetosella and Lotus corniculatus. Also Artemisia campestris is mentioned. Probably more host plants are involved.

It inhabits on downland, coastal shingle, sand dunes and other sandy habitats.
