New species for Belgium in 2009 (LI). Hitherto still a very rare and local species with more observations in the southeastern part of Belgium.

Wingspan 14–16 mm. An unmistakable species.
The larva lives in folded leaves on the food plant where it also pupates. The adults are active during the day and later come to light.
They fly in one generation a year, onwards from mid-May towards mid-July.
The larva feeds on different species of Spirea.
This species is rarely found outside of its habitat, it inhabits a wide variety of spiraea bushes and hedges in gardens, parks, botanical gardens etc...
