First observation in Belgium in 2009 at Flémalle-Haute (LG). Hitherto a very rare and local species in the country.

Bionomics

The larva lives between spun terminal shoots of the food plant and pupation takes place in a web among the leaves.
Adults come to light.


Flight periods

The adults are on the wing from July till August.

The larvae live mainly on Saponaria officinalis, also found on Saponaria ocymoides. In old literature is Lychnis vespertina also mentioned.
