A very rare and local species in Belgium, hitherto only known from the coastal area and AN.
Native
The larva stays in seed capsules which are spun together.
The adults become active from late afternoon onwards and later come to light.
The adults have been seen from mid-June towards mid-August.
The larvae live on Cerastium semidecandrum and on Cerastium pumilum.
It inhabits sand dunes, coastal slopes and other sandy areas.
