A very rare and local species in Belgium.
Native
The young larva starts with a long, fine, transparant gallery-mine close to the midrib, later it feeds between spun shoots and when becoming mature it eats the unripe seeds on the host plant.
The adults come to light.
The adults have been seen from late June towards early September.
The larva lives on Stellaria holostea.
It inhabits open deciduous forests.
