A fairly common species throughout Belgium.
This species is considered Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List category for Flanders 2023.
Native
Hibernates as a pupa between fallen needles or among plant debris.
The adults are active on warm days and later come to light.
The adults fly from May till mid-July in one generation a year.
The larva lives on Pinus, especially Pinus sylvestris or Pinus nigra.
