Caterpillar

Head black; prothoracic plate blackish brown; thoracic legs blackish brown; abdomen greyish or yellowish white with reddish, irregular patches; anal plate blackish brown (Gregersen & Karsholt 2022).


Bionomics

Larvae feed inside the flowering shoots on the host plant during spring and moves from one shoot to another. Pupation takes place among leaves or on the ground.
The adults are active early morning and late afternoon and later come to light.
